Re: LucasMy daughter came in yesterday - she was using our tap to fill the horses' water in her field when Tabitha asked to be let in. Five minutes later she was attacking my feet and wanted to go out (cat flap is locked ever since the expensive mouse in washing machine incident).

It makes you realise how precarious life used to be, My runner beans have holey leaves, but are busy climbing (not all going up the pole I planted them next to, ah well.

Just as I got Monteverdi hammered into my head I've got to stop singing it over the kitchen sink and try to learn this and this and more. Thinking back we used to make collections of wild flowers (for a badge at GLB, which was like Guides), now illegal to pick them, never mind uproot. Can see why, though we learnt a lot from identifying the specimens
