TortoisesNo I don't personally, but my hairdresser has one, she keeps it free range in the garden, it never hibernates, she just goes & hunts around for it every now & then to make sure it's still alive & that's about all she does for it, she's had it years!
Why are you getting one? Cutie things. Cheers

...long story, but, whislt walking the dog, found it over in the orchards!!! Have asked around etc (vet) - nothing.
Its not very big, and, since doing a search on the internet, looks like it should be registered or something???? Anyway, havent a clue about keeping it, all I know is I want to do whats best for it. (feel a bit like acriminal!) My Websites; http://www.tranquillitytherapies.co.uk
Hi.
They are an animal that cannot be bought or sold without a licence. I haven't the foggiest how to go about it. Maybe environmental health at the council could help, or maybe RSPCA. The animal should have a licence and maybe someone is looking for it. But why it is out and about this time of the year heaven knows. They should be tucked away for hibernation. I am sure they should be a certain weight, the ones I look after are very fat, before they go to sleep. I had three for many years and I love them. I have a telephone number in my book. I will mail you it. Wendy http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning |
