Pins and needlesPins and needlesRecently I have been getting pins and needles in my little and ring finger on my right hand.
I have read on 'ternet that it may be some kind of trapped nerve. Possibly due to the arthritis I have [my fingers are starting to go knobbly now ] but not helped by my use of the computer and possibly my sewing I have an appointment on Friday. Very reluctant to take tablets, as I have managed for 25 years without. Hopefully he will give me physio or something rather than tablets. I don't know what I would do if I had to stop my cross stitch. http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning Re: Pins and needlesOh Wendy - I do hope it doesn't affect your cross stich.
Oddly my little finger is really playing up and I think it may be the crochet. I looked on google and someone had asked on an arthritis website whether knitting was damaging and should they stop, and the reply was no, don't stop (breathes sigh of relief) so possibly that would be the same for sewing? If it is a trapped nerve, it may free off with physio or osteo. Not the sort of thing to take tablets for. Hope it gets sorted soon. Re: Pins and needlesMy mum has arthritis and she asked at one of her apts about knitting and was advised to carry on with it as it keeps the fingers moving and stops them being stiff. My children now have cardi's for every day of the week plus spares!

Knitting seems fine, But the moving of the wrist up and down with the sewing, seems to be a problem. Not to worry I will have to do it left handed then http://www.busheyk9.co.uk

I think it maybe the Ulnar nerve as I am having a few problems with my shoulder, where I broke it a couple of years ago. http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
