Chest infection?Chest infection?Hello.
I am asking for some advice please. Roxy has at last finished being broody and seemed to be fine albeit a bit thin, but today she is breathing like she has bad asthma. I have put her in the coop tonight with the door open and will book an appointment with the vets for tomorrow. Should i be worried and is there anything i should / should not be doing in the mean time? Amber.

I didn't take her in the end as she sounded better Friday morning and back to normal today so far. When i have a break from work and pop home i nip out just to listen to her breathing and clucking and so far so good but will keep a very close eye on her. If it starts up again i will get her straight down to the vets. They worry me more than when my children were ill. Amber.
Re: Chest infection?Hope Roxy is going on OK Amber. They really do worry you these girls at times and certainly keep us on our toes. Hopefully just a passing "blip" and it has passed!!
Re: Chest infection? My broody always sounds asthmathic but then she sounds fine when she's finished. I think it's a case that she eats too much when she's broody! See how she sounds tomorrow. I know what you mean about worrying ...
